This course is generally intended for people who are Engineers, Solar Company Staff, Utility Staff, Electricians, Technicians, etc who play dual role of designing the systems and supervising and/or engage in the installation works of the PV systems. These people possess knowledge on design elements as well as the install practices.
This course covers the theory of designing and installing grid-connected PV systems. Students will learn about the different system components, how to correctly size and match an array and inverter, cable sizing and voltage drop and also how to ensure the correct isolation and protection devices are used.
There is a practical assessment required for Design and Install Course and they will attempt the Design Task and the Final Examination. Otherwise, the written and online assessments for Design only and Design and Install course are the same.
Successful completion of the online component of the course may deem you eligible for Accreditation (Design and Install) through the Sustainable Energy Industry Association of the Pacific Islands (SEIAPI) (https://www.seiapi.com/seiapi-ppa-accreditation/).

N.B: For Design & Install course, the fee displayed for the online course is only for the online component of the course. Practical assessments will be a separate fee and are yet to be determined.
